I recently picked up this Gearwrench digital 3/8 torque wrench(Amazon). It has a torque range of 10 to 100 ft lbs, and supports changing the display to your preferred units. I finally replaced my click-type wrench from Harbor Freight, which failed me for the last time (stripped the threads on my mower transmission).
The build quality is super sturdy. It takes 3 AAA batteries that are easily inserted into the bottom of the wrench after unscrewing the compartment’s cap. I like this design because it makes it easy to remove the batteries for storage when the wrench won’t be used for long stretches of time.
The button interface works well, and the settings for alerting you when you are about to hit your torque target are nice. As you approach your pre-target threshold setting, the wrench starts slowly beeping. As you approach your torque target, the beeping gets faster. When you eventually hit your target value, the wrench starts to vibrate in addition to beeping.
This is my first decent torque wrench, and my first time using a digital one. I really like it so far. Check the YouTube video for my rundown and test of the calibration.
